Expanding our Creative Team - Introducing Greg Rawson

Over the last two years, we have been developing our Beatfeet Creative Team. We now have an expanding group of core artists, who bring such rich talent and creative experience into our pool of artists and creative practitioners.

Thanks to a recent project, entitled Kaira Kafo (translating as Peace Gathering into English from Mandinka), we were able to fully welcome percussionist and teacher, Greg Rawson, into our BeatFeet Creative Team. Greg specialises in South American rhythms and has also been a student under various West African percussion teachers and masters, including London based Mohamed Gueye and Sabar percussion specialist Modou Diouf.

Greg has taken part in several projects with BeatFeet and also our partner organisations. These have involved musical theatre for young children, drumming for dance, workshop leadership, and also composing music for performance.

We’ll look forward to working more with Greg in 2023 and expanding our Creative Team even more to include vibrant and exciting artists!
