Future Leaders Programme - supported by Arts Council England

From September 2021, our creative team and our cohort of ‘Future Leaders’ have been taking part in an intensive training programme over at Bilborough college in Nottingham. Together with Year 1 and Year 2 Performing Arts students, we’ve been exploring aspects of group music-making and dance, through the genres of West African percussion and dance.

It’s been wonderful to see the progress in technique and style with all participants, and feedback has told us that these sessions have been of great value not only in gaining new knowledge and experience, but also as an enhancement of wellbeing. Students and our team have been taking the time to strengthen bonds throughout this project and are all looking forward to the next stage of the cascading project.
