Online Middle Eastern Percussion Workshops (Free to attend)
We have shifted our final course of global percussion workshops to take place online over on Zoom. Throughout 2021, we enjoyed a programme of in-person global percussion and dance workshops, but with the emergence of subsequent waves of the risk of Covid 19 we made the decision to use a blended approach to delivering the final part of our project.
If you’d like to join us, you’ll be very welcome. All joining details for the online sessions can be found on the poster just below. You’ll need a darbouka or a frame drum. A djembe can also be used in a ‘lap-style’.
These workshops have kindly been funded by Arts Council England and are delivered by percussionist and performer, Asif Qu.
Our final workshop will be taking place at The Embankment Pub & Kitchen on Trent Bridge in Nottingham. We’ll be enjoying 90 minutes of Middle Eastern percussion with Asif, followed by a social gathering afterwards. The venue has allocated us a great space for drumming and then we can feast on their delicious menu! We’re really looking forward to this set of online workshops and final gathering!
