Discover the Music of Ghana: Workshops with Samuel Nkrumah Yeboah
We are delighted to announce that Ghanaian percussionist and drum maker Samuel Nkrumah Yeboah is coming to Nottingham for a special day of workshops and live music. Hosted at CommuniTree At Clarendon Chambers in Nottingham City Centre, this event offers a fantastic opportunity to learn from a master musician and explore the traditions of Ghanaian music. This event is free to attend thanks to Arts Council England and When Women Gather (Open to all levels of experience - 18 years and over).

About the Workshops
Samuel will deliver two engaging workshops that are open to all:
Percussion Workshop:
Learn traditional drumming techniques from one of Ghana’s leading percussionists.
Experience the energy and joy of playing in a group setting.
Ghanaian Song Workshop:
Explore the songs of Ghana, with guidance on melody, rhythm, and meaning.
Discover the stories and cultural significance behind the music.
Live Performance
As part of the event, Samuel will also perform some of the pieces covered in the workshops. This is a wonderful chance to see his talent and expertise in action.
